Experiences:

Before Fabien and Flavia decided to move to Samoa in 2005 and open their diveshop, they lived and worked in the diving industry on Koh Tao, Thailand.

Fabien: "By the time we left Thailand after our 4 year stay, I had worked as a freelance PADI Divemaster and then as a freelance PADI Instructor in various dive shops on Koh Tao. My last 2 years there I set up a dive shop on the island, from the boat, equipment, staff and the general organization of managing a diving resort. Safety and quality of diving has always been my main priority. After one year in business, Seashell Dive Resort became a 5 star PADI Resort. I have trained more than 20 Divemasters and have assisted in several IDC as a Staff Instructor and became a Master Instructor in 2004.
I have instructed for more than 10 years, teaching more than 500 students (from DSD to Assistant Instructor) and spend the last 6 years creating, organizing and managing Dive Savaii together with Flavia.
"

Flavia: "My introduction to the diving world was also on Koh Tao, Thailand. After my Open Water course, I became hooked to diving. Instead of going back to England, where I was living at the time, I got a job at 'Big Blue Divers' where I was a 'shop girl'/front desk and finally worked as PADI Divemaster. My one passion in diving is making underwater videos. For my next diving venture, I worked as an underwater videographer for 2 years, where each day I made edited videos of divers from various dive shops. Being part of the company for so long, I managed to train about 12 novice videographers, from filming to editing and selling. One year before leaving Koh Tao, I created my own videographing company. Our reason for leaving Koh Tao after such a long time ... needed a change of scenery. And we found beautiful Savai'i, where we can once again enjoy our diving and achieve our dream 'Dive Savaii'."
